The Importance of Positive Self-Talk
Positive self-talk... I know it sounds a bit woo-woo, but it matters.
How we speak to ourselves (especially when things donβt go well) affects what happens next.
Instead of saying, "I messed up, Iβm useless", try:
"I tried something new."
"Iβm learning."
"I know more now than I did before."
We rarely fail. When you treat life as a series of experiments, youβre only ever gathering data.
When youβre kind to yourself, youβre more likely to keep experimenting, which leads to faster progress, deeper learning, and greater wellbeing.
How do you talk to yourself when things go wrong?
