The Practice of Yutori

I recently learned the Japanese word yutori. It means spaciousness or having room to breathe.

We often try to optimise every minute of the day. However, leaving space in our schedules helps us produce better work and live better lives.

It's a little like packing a suitcase. We feel the urge to fill every corner, but leaving space on purpose makes the journey easier. It also ensures we have room for the occasional unplanned souvenir!

How could you practise yutori today?
