The Weekly Review: Cornerstone of Sustainable Productivity

The weekly review is the cornerstone of sustainable productivity. It’s the habit that helps everything else hold together.

Without it, it’s easy to slip into reactive mode, jumping from task to task without checking whether you’re still heading in the right direction.

My weekly review process breaks down like this:

  • Reflect: What happened last week? What did I learn?

  • Celebrate: What went well? What wins (big or small) can I acknowledge?

  • Plan: What’s coming up? What needs my time and energy?

  • Check in: Are my actions aligned with my current goals?

It doesn’t take long, but it gives me clarity, perspective, and a sense of calm.
