B+ Work is OK

I'm a recovering perfectionist. This doodle is very much a "note to self".

Perfectionism is a significant barrier to high performance and sustainable productivity. The drive to deliver A+ work on every task is exhausting and often unnecessary. High performance is not about universal excellence. It is about the intentional allocation of your limited energy.

You cannot manage time, but you can manage where you direct your focus. Choosing to deliver B+ work on certain tasks is a strategic boundary, not a sign of declining standards. When you accept "good enough" for routine or less critical work, you preserve the energy required for the projects that truly matter.

Professional development involves recognising when extra effort adds no value. If you are stuck in a cycle of revisions, consider whether a B+ is the more professional choice. It allows you to finish, move on, and protect your wellbeing while continuing to produce good work.

Often, B+ work is (more than) OK.
