On the Importance of Fuel

Last week, I posted a doodle of the phrase, "Be a Radiator, Not a Drain", which people seem to like.

I've been thinking about that post.

I believe that most of the time, we can choose how we show up—whether we want to radiate energy or drain it from those around us.

We are in control.

However, that control becomes more difficult if our basic needs are unmet. I'm thinking, in particular, about fuel (food, rest, sleep—that sort of fuel).

With that in mind, I thought the original doodle might need something else: a reminder to fuel ourselves sufficiently so we can show up in the world how we want.
